Mr. Satish Anand having a vast experience in the field of Media is currently working as the Chairman of Eveready Group of Companies. He studied at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (U.K.). He is keen a golfer and tennis player. For his contribution he was awarded the Pride of Performance, the highest civil national award, in 2008 for contribution to films and culture. Mr. Anand has produced thirty feature films in Pakistan and he has been instrumental in promoting Pakistani cinema across the world.
Eveready has been a leading film distribution house and over the last seven decades, and has released over six hundred Films in theatres in Pakistan. Everyready has also maintained a strong presence as a content provider for television, including running a very active production house featuring a variety of programming through an in-house state of the art studio.
Diversity has been an integral feature of Mr. Anand’s career. He produced the drama serial Janney Anjaaney in Mauritius and feature films in Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, Bulgaria and the UK. He has served on the management of Star TV’s (India) popular comedy series The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He launched the English Language program Business Updates which aired for 11 years. Other notable features include the documentary Jailed Abroad – Pakistan, based on a true story, for the National Geographic Channel, for which Everyready Pictures the cast, technical facilities and location. Eveready Pictures was the location producer for the film Benazir Bhutto 2010.
He has been Chairman of United Producer Association as well as Chairman of the Production and Entertainment Committee at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry. He is presently a member of the boards of NAPA and Pakistan National Council of Arts. He is the regular participant at Cannes and other film festivals.
