Fawzia Naqvi is the CEO of Al Nissa Communications and Editor-in-Chief of ArtNow which is Pakistan’s first online monthly publication offering critical insight into the contemporary art of Pakistan. Fawzia has been associated with many renowned publications in the past and holds a position as a member of Boards of many organizations, trusts and companies.
She is a senior media professional, and has previously been the Publisher and Editor of Zameen Publishing, UK, and Manager of Communications at South Magazine, New York. She also held a position of the Manager of Supplements, Dawn Group of Newspapers, Karachi.
Fawzia has worked in the Government sector in Islamabad as the Media Advisor to the Chairman, National Accountability Bureau, and has contributed extensively through her writings on social and accountability issues. She was also the Founder and President of MWPJO (Media Women Publishers and Journalists Organization) Karachi.
Fawzia is the Member on the Board of NAPA, Aman Tech, a Member of the Managing Committee, Lady Dufferin Hospital, Karachi, and Honorary CEO and Trustee of the Foundation of Museum of Modern Art (FOMMA), Karachi. She is the Board Member of the Lahore Biennale Foundation and Trustee of the Murree Residency. Fawzia is the President for DIL (Developments in Literacy) Karachi, which has 131 schools all over Pakistan.
Fawzia has a MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from SOAS, University of London, UK. An avid golfer, Fawzia is the Lady Captain of the Karachi Golf Club.
