Anwar Rammal is the Chairman and Director of Asiatic Public Relations Network (Pvt.) Ltd., Founder and Executive Member of The Patients Behbood’ Society for the Aga Khan University Hospital, Trustee of the Foundation for Museum of Modern Art (FOMMA), and Board Member of the Jinnah Society. He is a pioneer in the field of advertising and PR with a legacy spanning over 50 years. After working with W.S. Crawford in London, Anwar returned to Pakistan in the early 1960s and along with a friend established Asiatic Advertising (Pvt.) Ltd., which became one of the leading advertising agencies in Pakistan and later acquired by their global affiliate, J. Walter Thompson. Keeping in mind the importance of PR as a specialized service, in 1992, Anwar and his partners established Asiatic Public Relations, a leading PR firm which is affiliated with Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
Anwar Rammal’s partiality to culture and the performing arts is inherited from his father the late Hassanali G. Rammal, a well-known poet and playwright who used the byline Suman and wrote plays and devotional songs in Sindhi and Gujrati. An artist by inclination and training, Rammal seeks occasional refuge in his free-flowing paintings.
